Elementalist Pauldrons is a Rare BattleGear card from the Zenith of the Hive set.

Strategy

Elementalist Pauldron's main use is for allowing Elementalist fighters to gain important Elemental types that they may be missing and allowing them access to your full array of attacks, such as on Intress, Natureforce to gain Fire and Dalgad to gain Earth in the Fire/Earth/Water OverWorld build, with a minor Energy boost attached. However, as it is vulnerable to all forms of BattleGear removal, it can be less reliable than cards such as Citadel Lodestone, Sun Chariot of Kehn-Sep, and Destructozooka, due to those being triggered abilities (and therefore unable to be stopped once they trigger, dodging effects like Disarm). Its main advantage over triggered element gain BattleGear is the ability to gain multiple elemental types at once, although multi-Element decks should generally be aiming to use Creatures that have several elements innately to avoid the weaknesses of Elementalist Pauldrons.
